"Imperfect Action is Better than Perfect Inaction"

You may remember this post that I wrote a while back, which focused on the mantra; be brave, move forward, and follow your bliss.

I have to admit something; I wrote those words with selfish intentions, or so it would seem. We attach this weirdness to you if you seek money, and suddenly you become gross and greedy. We can want everything else in life, but start slipping "I pray for more money" into your bedtime prayers, and you feel guilty. Do I want to be able to sustain this life that I am living by doing what I love? Absolutely, and I think that you should want that same thing. Hell, I think that you deserve to too!

Back when I wrote the original post that mantra meant something different to me. It meant standing up for what I wanted in life, going against what others thought I should be doing, and having the courage to follow my dreams. Now though, it's meaning has changed. To me it is all about making brave steps towards following my passions, working towards my goal aimlessly, and doing what I want in this world before my time here runs out.

"Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction", last week I saw this quote and it clicked. It clicked in one of those ways where I had to reread it 17 times. It resonates hard with me, and my new way of looking at this mantra. I need to have trust in myself and faith that when I leap the net will appear. So often we get caught up in all of the reasons why we can't, or shouldn't, or won't, let's put pen to paper and turn these ideas into actions before fear creeps in and makes you think that you don't deserve to bring those dreams to life!

We're heading into the weekend, so I want you to prepare for next week. What steps will you take towards chasing those dreams that you can't stop thinking about? Write it down, be specific, feel it all coming true as you write it down, and begin to pursue the life that you were intended to live!
