Altstadt, Switzerland

Hello There!
Our stop in Zürich was brief, rainy, and we knew that we had to make the most of it.
Which meant wandering the cobblestone streets with full rain gear at the ready.

Before our trip to Zürich we didn't know what to expect, and didn't have much of a game plan either.
Immediately in awe of the charm, Swiss hospitality, and pathways to explore: we set off.

If you want to be completely immersed in all of the historical charm that the old town has to offer, head over to Altstadt, or District One as you will also hear it called.

Donning stripes (of course), my favorite denim, my trustee stead of a jacket, and wellies perfect for weaving around puddles.

We spent the afternoon hopping between cafés, refueling and planning our next move.

Stopping at every front door that called to be photographed.

Beautyosaurus Lex-Alex Good-Travel-Spring-Switzerland-Zurich-1-3.jpgWe lost ourselves in the idea of what this city looked like when it was founded in 1872.
Though mostly closed on Sundays, we used the limited time that we had to meander around the city getting lost amongst the worn stone steps, cobblestone passageways, and bold pops of color sprinkled about.

We collapsed on these benches, wrapped in the brisk afternoon air, and dreaming of what it would be like to open the shutters to this beautiful town each morning.
