Heat Wave + Stripes

Hello There!

My love craze for stripes is still at an all time high. Ok, fine, it's at a record high.

With unfavorable temperatures this past week (we're talking windchill plateauing around -15 all week long *shutters) it has been nearly impossible to get outside, let alone to brave the cold and take outfit photos.

Finally, the weather was in our favor and the clouds opened up to reveal warm, golden sunshine.

Days like these, that teeter between winter and spring, can be unusually difficult to dress for. My advice; layers, baby!

I paired this cozy knit sweater (striped of course) with my favorite military jacket. I couldn't resist adding a touch of spring-ly-ness to this outfit with a pair of pants that fall just above the ankle and a pair of booties. Do not fear this pant length! Keeping the break between bottoms and shoes around two or three inches will help elongate your legs and give you that "model off duty" look.

Whilst running out the door to take these photos, I plucked up this hat and am so happy that I did.

If my pink nose didn't give it away, the chill and wind were in full swing, this knit hat kept me warm and from shivering the entire time.

Hopefully spring is right around the corner. Although I will miss all of the layering and rocking my military jacket... I can't believe I just said that.

What season do you love dressing for the most? Tell me in the comments below, and have yourself a lovely day!
