The Monday Marve-list | Drugstore Lipsticks for Autumn

Hello there!

I just want to let out a big sigh. That is usually how I feel once summer is nearing its end, it is all bittersweet and routines start to take form again. Many things symbolize the beginning of autumn for me; crowds of students all with fresh backpacks on, the sun setting before our dinner on the balcony is concluded, and of course deep toned lipstick.

Berry tones are always a go-to in the autumn, paired with winged liner and loads of mascara. I tend to let the crisp air work as a blush and have all of the focus on the lipstick. These are my favorite drugstore lipsticks options for the autumn and whenever I want to feel a bit vampy.

Left to right:
Maybelline Lipstick in Fifth Ave. Fuchsia: This is thee most classic fuchsia color that can be patted in and muted down or built up for a full glam effect. This formula is one of my most favorite from the drugstore, it is highly pigmented, comfortable to wear and I find that I get a solid four hours of wear before I need to touch up.

Rimmel London Long Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 107: I will be honest the formula is satin-like to begin with but then can be a bit drying. Before applying I put a light layer of lip balm underneath. It is a blue toned, deep berry, and the longevity and price are reason enough to look into the entire range.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo: I've talked about these in the past and cannot rave enough about the formula. The application is like that of a lip gloss but the formula is a velvet one that has outrageous lasting power. Just as dry oils boggle my mind, so does the formula of this lip cream.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie: Out of this selection, this is by far the easiest to wear. The formulation is that of a lip balm with color pay that is buildable but yet a good option for those just venturing into the berry lip color world.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Perisian Passion: As the name suggests this is a stain that also offers moisture to the lips. The longevity is a few hours, and once the initial shine wears off then you are left with a gorgeous stain.

So here is to cold mornings, hot drinks and deeper lipstick!
