Mario Badescu Seaweed Lotion Review

Hello there!

Let me start by making a claim, I have too many toners. There, I said it. Now with that out of the way I can tell you guys about one that I have been loving recently. It is the Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion. I have rather dry and sensitive skin, but that does not mean that I am okay with skimping on products that are cleansing and prevent breakouts.

This toner contains a lot of calming ingredients but also has witch hazel in it, which works as an astringent but far more gentle than your average toner. I have found that my hair line bumps are almost completely diminished and this in conjunction with my normal routine has my skin feeling beyond soft.

Of all of the toners that I have dabbled in I have to say this packaging is my favorite. You have complete control over the amount that you dispense onto your cotton round. With sprays and larger openings on other containers, I feel as if I am wasting a lot of product, not with this bad boy.

The one bad thing that I have to say about this is the scent. It does have a more "mature" smell, sorry older women, it can be a little off-putting especially when you first start using it.  Believe me, just push through it and you will see the benefits, as a very famous band once said "Don't Stop Believin'".

Do you use a toner? Or are you a multipurpose facial cleanser advocate?

  2. Very nice review! I may have to try this one! I used to love toners when I was a teenager but just drifted away when I got older since they never really did anything for me. I've also never been fond of multipurpose facial cleansers. Sometimes a product can try to do too much and end up not living up to expectations. Haha! I just like using one cleanser, an exfoliator, moisturizer, and then a peel sometimes. I'm much more of a peel or mask person vs a toner. :D
