Mario Badescu Calma Mask

Hello there!

Today's review comes from a sample turned staple for me. That is one of the joys of trying new things, there will be products that I fall in love with and become necessities.

I received a sample with a recent purchase from the Mario Badescu website and one of them was the Calma Mask. It claims to be for all skin types and help soothe your skin.

The texture is very nice, unlike any clay mask I have ever used. The first thing that you notice is the soufflé like consistency, that blends onto your skin smoothly and feels all velvety. It smells like spearmint but not nearly as strong as some mint masks do, yet it is still quite lovely, very spa-like.

It completely dries within five to ten minutes and unlike most clay masks, I'm looking at you Secret Aztec Healing Clay, it does not make my skin feel tight or uncomfortable in the slightest. You can still talk and smile and take adorable selfies.

It does not crack like most clay masks either, it actually feels quite smooth even when on the skin.

I rinsed it off in the shower and felt as though I had already moisturized my face. If I didn't have extremely dry skin I could skin the moisturizer step most definitely, however I am a women of routine so therefore face lotion was applied.

I did notice immediately the redness was reduced and all in all my skin seemed to be soothed, suple and happy.

The Calma Mask is officially very high up on my face mask must-haves and at only $22 for two ounces it is reasonably priced and will last you a good while.

Are you a face mask junkie? If so, what are some of your favorite ones?

Best,

Alex
